From download to your first model.

1. Download from your account

Open your account and use the Mac download linked to your purchase. If payment is still confirming, wait for the purchase status to update before trying to pay again. Your billing email can differ from your Kwip ML sign-in email.

2. Move Kwip ML to Applications

Open the downloaded disk image, then drag Kwip ML into your Applications folder. Eject the disk image and open Kwip ML from Applications. macOS may ask you to confirm opening an app downloaded from the internet.

Do not disable Gatekeeper or bypass a security warning. If macOS reports the app is damaged, unverified or cannot be opened, download again from your account and contact support if the problem remains.

3. Sign in and activate this Mac

Open Settings → Account, sign in with the account used for purchase, then activate this Mac. One personal license allows two Macs. If both slots are in use, open your account to replace a previous device before retrying.

First activation needs internet access. After paid activation, your v1 license works permanently offline; signing out of your account does not remove that offline license.

4. Save a recovery copy

Use the recovery-license export in Settings → Account and keep the file somewhere safe. It contains a signed license for this Mac, not your password. A recovery license can repair missing license storage on the same Mac; a different Mac needs a new activation.

5. Start with something small

Open a bundled example or a guided learning path. Prepare a small dataset, inspect its captured output, and run a model before moving to a larger workflow. Performance depends on the model, data and your Mac.

Before you update

Read the release notes for the exact version and build you’re offered. Save your projects and keep your recovery-license copy before updating. Use Kwip ML → Check for Updates… in the app; automatic-check preferences are in Settings. Finish active training and preparation work before installing an update.

All v1.x updates are included with your v1 purchase. Your issued paid offline license remains valid when you update.

If something gets interrupted

Retry a failed download from your account. If activation loses its response, retry in the app; it retains the request to avoid consuming another slot. If sign-in expires, sign in again. An existing valid offline license keeps working during an account or service outage.
